Joy to the world!
It turns out Saturday, Dec 12 is the 33rd Annual “Pathway of Lights,” at Seattle’s Green Lake. 350.org Carolers (that is you!) have been invited to sing from 7:15-7:45 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is free. After we sing we'll gather up to take a 350 photo with our candles. We'll meet at 7 outside of the Community Center to distribute buttons and song lyrics.
Join thousands of families, friends, and neighbors in this Seattle tradition, as they walk the 2.8 mile path between 5:30-8:30 around the lake, taking in the warm glow of the luminaria. People are encouraged to bring their own lights and candles to add to the ambiance.
Local musicians, including 350.org Carolers, will perform for about 20 minutes outside of the Green Lake Community Center on the east side nearest lake. Warm drinks and treats will be available at those locations, as will donation bins for non-perishable food items for Northwest Harvest.
Bring musical instruments if you have them, harmony, warm clothes, your own candles, wear your 350.org button or t-shirt, and sing 350.org carols (check lyrics out and add your own!).
We'll have more buttons and fact sheets for people who want to join in. After we sing we can take our group photo and then walk around the lake together!
