How to get involved with the Sustainable Wallingford Earth Day Festival:

"Volunteers"

People or groups who want to participate, but do not have a specific idea for a "booth" WE NEED YOU!! as street monitors, before the event to help put up posters, to encourage passers-by to come into the event and to help others set up and clean up and possibly even run their booths. If you are interested in volunteering at the event please contact Will Polk. What you will need to tell Will: What time can you be there and when do you need to leave?
How many people are in your group?
Kids? we need their ages to make sure they have a safe activity for their age.
Do you have an area you really want to help with? No sale, Bake sale, swap/free tag non-sale, recycling/trash, etc
Are you mobility restricted?
Do you want to help before the event with promotion, hanging posters, getting the word out?

"Vendors"

People or groups with an idea to give away a service, product or information. Do you have a great, earth-oriented or sustainable idea that you would like to share? Do you have a group that wants to share information with people? THIS IS THE EVENT FOR YOU. You can "sign up" to be a vendor here: www.formspring.com or just post your interest on this site. Here is what Jesscia needs to know to help you have a successful event: Who are you and how can we contact you? What is your idea? Are you giving away a product, service or information? What will you need (tent, table, chairs, signs, etc) do you have everything or do you need help getting something? How much space do you think you need - a dance floor v. a chair or ?? Quiet or loud - are you have quiet conversations with people, or blowing it out with a rumba? How many people are involved? Are you bringing kids to help (definitely encouraged)? This Festival is for you, and by you. A Community building, giving event, which will help Wallingford get more connected, be more prepared and sustainable, and generally have fun .
